Stephanie works as a Family Doctor at the South Hill Family Health Centre and also provides maternity care at the South Community Birth Program. She has a passion for holistic and collaborative care. Stephanie was inspired to practice maternity care by her mother, a family doctor who attend births throughout Stephanie’s youth. She has special interests that include women’s health, perinatal addictions, rural practice, and geriatrics. Current research interests include identifying barriers that prevent Family Physicians from providing maternity care. Stephanie completed her MD at McGill University and residency training in the UBC St. Paul’s Family Medicine Residency program. She is originally from Alberta and still finds winters without snow a little odd. She spends her free time in the outdoors, training for triathlons, cooking, travelling and at her retreat from the world on Lasqueti island.
Stephanie is having her first child and will be on maternity leave in 2019.
