Zoë Hodgson

RM PhD, UBC Clinical Faculty, Ministry of Health Midwifery Lead

Originally from the UK, Zoë moved to Vancouver at the end of 2005 and worked as the Director of Research at BC Women’s Hospital for a number of years. She first came to South about 10 years ago, spent some time working in community midwifery while locumiing at South (read: she never really left!) and is now back full-time! Zoë currently only works on call because, well, she loves catching babies and because she spends the rest of her time working at the Ministry of Health, driving initiatives to stabilise midwifery and maternity care in BC. In her free time, Zoë cheers on her children on the soccer field, tries to tame her wild beast of a rescue dog, and peddles like fury on her road bike! Zoë absolutely loves being a midwife, feels incredibly lucky to work at South and cannot wait to meet you
